Bookends
Prototype 2015. Folded 1.5 mm powder coated sheet metal.
The product has an appearance and function of a classic bookend, but also has a "hidden feature" as a shelf bracket and carrier of the shelf. If books and magazines are placed on both sides of the brackets, the brackets gets totally hidden and shelf appear to float in the air.
The other interesting aspects of Bookends is that it works great as a solitary shelf (With only one shelf hung on the wall), but also as a shelving system with many shelves that are attached in series (vertically and laterally).
